a Diploma for Advanced Study in

She is currently developing the "You are You" book series based on ways to better connect the relationship between home and school as it relates to a child's positive growth.

Dr. Wilson's work with children spans from that of being a Child Development Associate Consultant who evaluated and participated in the certification of preschool centers, to a Peace Corp teacher in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Her years of teaching experience include working in preschools, public schools, and higher education environments. Additionally, she has been selected as Teacher-Mentor of the Year.

She is an advocate for parental involvement in the education of children. Her research continues to investigate ways to more effectively educate children and aggressively involve parents in the process; to better understand cultural differences and how these differences impact learning, and to bridge the gap between home and school.
